Aria Ellison, an eighth-grade student at Harris County Carver Middle School (HCCMS), has won the local 2026 Middle School Design a Bookmark Contest, sponsored by Georgia Farm Bureau (GFB).
For her district-wide accomplishment, Aria was presented with a check by Linda Luttrell, program manager for Harris County GFB, who shared that Ellison’s artwork is now in consideration for the state’s top award. If selected, GFB will use her design as the official bookmark for the year, with thousands to be printed and distributed across the state. Impressively, Aria is also last year's district winner!
The contest, aimed at highlighting the significance of agriculture in Georgia, invited students in grades 6-8 to create original bookmark designs that reflect the agricultural landscape of the state. Aria’s submission impressed the judges with its creativity and strong representation of Georgia's agricultural heritage.
“On behalf of Harris County Farm Bureau, I would like to thank each student and teacher who participated in our bookmark contest,” said Luttrell.
